Call your First Patient Day (For Healthcare students)
Lionhearts Inc. Fundraiser
During the pandemic, several community organizations (food banks, health clinics, shelters, etc.) have significantly reduced their hours of operation or have been forced to close. Join the fight to support charities that are still running and distribute much needed food to people in need (e.g. Lionhearts Inc.). We’ve raised almost $2,500 in just a few days. Now we need your help to continue supporting these organizations.
Call your First Patient!
For Healthcare students at Queen’s University, you all participated in a “First Patient” program to follow a member of the community with a chronic illness. With the COVID-19 crisis, this is an especially challenging time for seniors and vulnerable populations. In many cases, our First Patients are a part of one or both of these groups. On Saturday, April 4th we invited all current and past Queen’s healthcare students to call their “First Patients” and check-up on them! We offered our support to let them know that we’re here for them in this time of difficulty.
